Where DIY actually wins

Two scenarios:

1. You’re a GHL agency reselling to coaches

If you’re a GHL agency selling sub-accounts to 10+ coaches, building your own is worth it — you’ll amortize the dev time across many clients, you control the IP, and you can charge for the work. Risk

DIY: every component is a potential point of failure. You learn by breaking. Some of the breaks cost you real client communication (sends to wrong segments, A2P rejected for typos, double-billing on retainer).

Agency retainer: dependence on a third party. Lock-in to one provider. Slow turnaround on changes.

The honest objection
